The EG4 GridBOSS V3 is an advanced Microgrid Interconnect Device (MID) designed to streamline complex solar installations by serving as a centralized connection point for utility power, hybrid inverters, smart/AC-coupled ports, and generators. It features a 200A service entrance rating, supporting both backed-up and non-backed-up loads, and includes four configurable smart load ports.

• Centralized Integration: Provides a single connection point for utility, inverters, generators, and loads, simplifying system design and reducing hardware costs.
• Flexible Configuration: Supports up to three 90A hybrid inverters and four programmable smart/AC-couple ports, accommodating various system requirements.
• Smart Load Management: Features four configurable smart load ports (125A, 80A, 60A, 60A), supporting up to 244A continuous current for advanced load management.
• Generator Support: Accommodates generator connections up to 125A (30 kW), enhancing energy resilience.
• Energy Flow Monitoring: Monitors eight circuits, providing comprehensive insights into energy distribution.

Main Breaker and Bypass Options:

• Main Breaker: The GridBOSS can be configured with or without a main breaker. For installations where the GridBOSS acts as the service entrance device, a 200A main breaker, such as the Eaton CSR-2200N, can be installed. Alternatively, a stand-alone 200A main breaker (e.g., Square D QOM2E2200NRB) or a meter-main panel can be utilized.
• Bypass Capability: The production model of the GridBOSS includes a built-in bypass feature, allowing for maintenance or service without disrupting power to critical loads. This enhancement addresses the absence of a bypass in earlier versions.

Additional Considerations:

• Neutral and Ground Separation: The GridBOSS is designed with separated neutrals and grounds. It comes with a bonding strap to connect neutral and ground if it serves as the first device in the power system.
• Remote Monitoring: Enables remote monitoring, configuration, and firmware updates through the EG4 mobile app or online monitoring system.
